My experience as an artist and teacher of art has always been about building an image; layering paint or adding clay. It was a completely new experience to work on a piece of limestone and have to consider my design from the 'outside-in'. Steve was a brilliant teacher, always keeping an eye on us, but giving us the confidence to work independently.... Alexia's meals were something else - quite outstanding. I remember reading on the website that the meals were something to look forward to and thought it was a pretty strange thing to comment on, but my goodness, they are! Two brilliant days - thank you so much! Emma Delpech, Gresham's School, Norfolk.

'Really impressed with what could be achieved in such a short amount of time.. found it incredibly satisfying and theraputic.' Stephen was a really good teacher. Not to overbearing but happy to help and guide...' Ester Malloy, London. |
'Thought it was a great because it was so flexible and you could go with a set idea or, as I did, make it up as you go along... IŽd thoroughly recommend it and would say to people not to be put off by the thought that stone is a tough medium to work with...' Robin Thomas, Cirencester. |
